About the role

 

In this role, you will support Shared Services in providing Accounting and Banking services, Receivables reporting, Account reconciliations and SAP material maintenance functions in a team environment so as to deliver an agreed service and quality level.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Deliver an agreed level of service and quality to customers and stakeholders in an effective and timely manner.
  • Provide accounting services and support to Business Services.
  • Complete daily banking duties ensuring reconciliations are completed without incident.
  • Schedule and process the daily banking transfers to the bank without incident as per schedule.      
  • Coordinate and complete the monthly receivables report ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Provide backup assistance for other members in the Transaction Services group as agreed between your manager and yourself.

 

About you

 

You will be a customer centric individual who thrives in fast paced environment. You will have strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mentality. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

 

 Key skills and experience:

 

  • Progven experience in a finance-based role in a large organisation.
  • Sound understanding of key accounting principles for the delivery of accurate financial data.
  • Working experience of merchant account setup and reconciliation
  • Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (strong Excel skills)
  • Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders and communicate appropriately.
  • Experience in effectively planning and managing concurrent deliverables.
  • High level of accuracy and tenacity to follow up on unreconciled items.
