About the role: 


 
The Operations & Partnering team work alongside the business units in identifying, prioritising and delivering Technology, Digital and Data initiatives that align with our business strategy, deliver value to The Ampol Group and track the contribution each initiative makes, while ensuring smooth operations by providing reliable support, resolving issues quickly and improve service quality to minimise disruptions. 
 

 

The Change and Release Analyst supports the effective planning, coordination, and execution of IT changes and releases in alignment with ITIL practices. The role ensures minimal disruption to business operations by maintaining controlled change and release processes, working closely with technical teams and stakeholders. This position also contributes to continuous improvement and governance activities within the IT Service Management (ITSM) framework, with a focus on leveraging the ServiceNow platform 

 

 

You’ll take us further by: 

 

  • Assisting in the review, assessment, scheduling, & coordination of IT change requests in accordance with Change Management processes & ensure they meet required documentation, testing, & approval standards before implementation.  

  • Coordinating change advisory board (CAB) meetings, preparing agendas & supporting materials.  

  • Tracking and reporting on change management metrics  

  • Maintain the Forward Schedule of Change (FSC) and ensure visibility to stakeholders.  

  • Support the planning, scheduling, and communication of IT releases across environments.  

  • Ensuring Infrastructure and Application release scope items are planned for their deployment, conflict resolved, validated, & deployed in accordance with Release Management standards and in alignment with change management processes.  

  • Working within ServiceNow to manage change and release records, workflows, notifications & reporting.  

  • Engaging in the testing and adoption of identified improved techniques for the enhancement of the tooling used for change and release management. 

 

 

We’d love it if you have:  

 

  • 2+ years of experience in Change and/or Release Management within an ITIL-aligned environment. 

  • Familiarity with ITIL v4 principles, particularly Change Enablement and Release Management. 

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple change/release activities concurrently. 

  • Excellent organizational, coordination, and communication skills. 

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional technical and business teams. 

  • Skilled in creating raw data reports, dashboards, and performance indicators to monitor and report change volumes, success rate, change compliance and identify opportunities for improvement. 

  • Strong skills in planning, prioritizing, and managing changes and releases
