About the role

 

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Corporate FP&A in managing the Corporate business unit’s reporting processes. Responsible for linking in with Corporate stakeholders each month to book necessary journals (in particular prepayments and accruals) and preparing the consolidated Corporate month end result.

 

In addition to helping deliver improvement initiatives and completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for Corporate related accounts this role will assist in investigating and cleansing legacy SAP balance sheet entries.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Provide accounting for Corporate Business Units, including processing journal entries and preparing account reconciliations, initiating corrective actions as required and following up outstanding balances.
  • Managing the month end GL close process for Corporate Business Units, which includes linking in with cost centre owners for latest information for such things as prepayments & accruals and updating trackers to budget/forecast.
  • Preparing the Corporate channel model each month and consolidating the Corporate month end financial result.

 

 About you

 

You will have strong attention to detail and enjoy elements of both financial accounting and FP&A in this role. You will have great communication and the ability to support the group finance activities.

 

Key skills and experience

 

  • Related tertiary qualification and extensive experience in a finance role
  • CA (or may be working toward completing)
  • Working experience of month end processing/reporting, in particular the preparation of prepayments/accruals and completing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (strong Excel skills)
  • Experience in effectively planning and managing concurrent deliverables
  • SAP highly desirable
