About the role
In this role, you will be working proactively and reactively to support a designated ledger of Ampol’s 70,000+ active Customer base, by working with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that monies owed to Ampol are paid on or ahead of their due date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure customer payment terms are appropriately setup in the relevant systems
- Support the creation of bespoke reporting solutions to support customer on-time payments
- Perform pro-active collections activities for Customers who have a history of late payment or who have been identified as a potential credit risk
- Reconcile accounts to clarify or confirm overdue amounts to be collected
- Make outbound collection calls and draft written communications to Customers who are overdue or whose payment has been dishonoured
- Process payments and investigate unallocated monies sitting on accounts/banking GLs
About you
You will be a team player with strong communication skills, have a proven ability to provide a seamless customer experience, and work well under pressure. As a problem solver with high attention to detail, you will be able to review and reconcile accounts and be comfortable contacting customers for payments owing to Ampol.
Key skills and experience
- Passion for providing high quality customer support and motivated to continuously improve and develop your knowledge and skills in your role
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, in particular effective listening skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience in a Retail or Call Centre considered, Accounts Receivables experience preferred
