About the role

 

A great opportunity to join the Fuels and Infrastructure Finance team who are focused on operational excellence.

 

In this role, you will deliver efficient, accurate, timely and meaningful accounting reporting, forecasts, and budgets, to support and contribute towards the achievement of the Ampol strategies.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Action process journal entries and prepare account reconciliations, initiate corrective actions as required and follow up outstanding balances
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial actuals and forecast reporting, including compilation, commentary, and variance analysis
  • Assist with preparation of budget and annual business plan
  • Encourage, educate, and assist cost centre owners to take ownership for their Opex cost centre results each month and their ability to understand and explain variances to budget and forecast

 

 About you

 

You will have strong attention to detail and enjoy elements of both financial accounting and FP&A in this hybrid role. You will have great communication and the ability to partner well with stakeholders.

 

Key skills and experience

 

  • Related tertiary qualification and extensive experience in a finance role
  • CA or CPA (or may be working toward completing)
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft suite
  • High level of accuracy and tenacity to resolve issues
  • Strong communication skills
  • FP&A experience or experience in dealing with operation team is desirable only
