About the role:

It’s an exciting time to be part of the Retail business, as we have launched our refreshed Retail strategy and are seeking interest for a newly created position for a Head of Merchandise, Strategy and Development to join us. You will spear-head the strategic direction and execution of the Merchandise strategy, ensuring alignment with market demands, consumer trends and business objectives. Beyond category management you will be responsible for the design of the product range, pricing strategies and promotional frameworks that together drive sales and profitability.  This is an individual contributor role sitting on the Retail Leadership team reporting to our GM of Merchandise and Dealer channel. You will partner with varied stakeholder groups across Retail, Finance, IT and Corporate to help bring the strategy to fruition.

 

Come and work in our purpose built Head office, close to Green Square station in Alexandria where we offer free parking options. We promote a 3 day in the office working culture.

 

About you:

You are an experienced professional who have been in a similar role and bring deep Merchandising experience. Running trade and managing various categories and products across multiple departments will help you see success in this role. Skills in managing large organisational strategic programs including Retail Promotions, Pricing, Format Development, Range and Space and / or Analysis and insights will be essential for this role. Our business is focused on achieving outcomes through strong relationships so someone who enjoys getting out in the business, influencing and taking people on the journey will be the key to success.  

 

Tertiary qualifications in economics, Finance, Marketing, Commerce or equivalent will be desired.
