About the role:
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Learning and Development specialist seeking a new challenge. Reporting to the L&D Manager, you will play a pivotal role in aligning training initiatives with the strategic goals of Ampol’s Distribution Business. Your focus will be on enhancing workforce capabilities by developing and implementing innovative learning solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and implement training content that enhance operational excellence.
- Drive content development projects, applying adult learning theories to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Utilise advanced tools like Articulate Storyline and AI-based video editing platforms for creating engaging content.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to capture business needs, feedback, testing new and improved solutions for learning management.
- Collaborate with SMEs to translate technical knowledge and operational expertise into engaging an effective learning content.
- Maintain a consistent learning framework for identifying, scoping, budgeting, designing and developing learning solutions based on strategic operational excellence requirements and training needs analyses.
- Ensure L&D strategies support appropriate learning solutions for the rollout of new projects and initiatives
About you:
- You are a passionate L&D professional with experience preferably in a Major Hazard environment.
- Known for your instructional design expertise and strong grasp of adult learning theories.
- You exhibit a strong work ethic, a positive “can-do” attitude, and a collaborative team spirit.
- Your excellent communication skills are complemented by a down-to-earth attitude and a customer service mindset, making you an effective collaborator and a reliable team member.
- Proficient with LMS platforms and adept in using tools like Articulate Storyline and video editing software.
Skills and experience:
- Certificate IV in training and assessment or a university degree in Human Resources, Training, Organisational development or a related field.
- Extensive experience with Articulate Storyline.
- Expertise in adult learning theories and instructional design.
- Proficient in MS office.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to foster strong key stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
