About the role: 

 

A great opportunity for an experienced Marketing Advisor to join Lubricant marketing team based in our Alexandria Head Office. Reporting to the Lubricants Product Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in the development and execution of lubricants marketing plans for Ampol and Mobil lubricants.  

A dynamic marketer to take the wheel and lead the execution of our Customer Value Proposition (CVP) across both B2B and B2C (Retail) channelsYou’ll be at the forefront of delivering compelling marketing campaigns, creating standout content and product collateral, managing vibrant digital channels, bringing sponsorships to life, and orchestrating events and projects that power our Lubricants Sales & Marketing strategy. 

 

 

Key responsibilities 

 

  • Develop and execute marketing plans to support customer value propositions across key industry segments 

  • Align initiatives with Ampol’s broader B2B marketing strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders 

  • Produce and maintain high-impact marketing content including case studies, proof of performance (PoP), brochures, and videos 

  • Ensure accurate execution of lubricant branding in all materials, following brand guidelines and ensuring compliance across the network 

  • Manage and optimize digital platforms including social media, websites, and product selector apps 

  • Lead motorsport sponsorship activations and manage contract entitlements and brands across various sponsorship landscapes -occasional weekend and interstate travel required 

  • Coordinate key marketing events and conferences, whilst providing support and guidance for Distributor Partners in-field marketing activity and promotions.

  • Develop effective retail promotions and in-store point-of-sale materials to build Mobil lubricant brand awareness across retail sites 

  • Assist in creating sales motivation programs, training materials, and documentation to support key sales and marketing initiatives 

  • Deliver monthly reports on key marketing KPIs, identify performance trends, and recommend improvements 

 

 

About you: 

 

A dynamic and experienced marketing professional who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced, multifaceted role. You are highly adaptable, well-organized, and confident in managing multiple priorities simultaneously. An industry background in lubricants, retail, automotive, parts and accessories, or industrial marketing is desirableYou have strong foundational marketing skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to thrive in a constantly evolving environment. 

 

 

Key skills and experience: 

 

  • Degree in marketing, communications or relevant business field 

  • Experience in B2B/Industrial/Retail and Automotive industry is desirable 

  • Sponsorship management  

  • Excellent internal and external stakeholder relationship management 

  • Strong strategic thinking, planning and execution 

  • High attention to detail 

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) 

  • Project management and digital marketing experience 

  • Proficient in MS office 

  • Experience Adobe Create Suite in Design and/or Photoshop is desirable
