About the role

 

In this role, you will lead the property portfolio team to manage all property management services for both owned and leased assets including the payment of rent, collection of rent, outgoings recovery, lease administration, leasehold rights and obligations and statutory charges.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage and support the performance of the portfolio management team 
  • Contribute and embed improvement strategies in portfolio management
  • Meeting and exceeding performance targets both budget and operationally
  • Lead the Portfolio Management team to assist the Retail Business Unit to deliver on objectives
  • Negotiate successful outcomes with Ampol's landlords and ensure obligations are met
  • Develop policies, procedures and training to provide the framework for managing Ampol Retail property interests in a professional manner

 

About you

 

You will be an effective leader, with the ability to provide complex commercial advice as it relates to the property portfolio team. You will have strong communication skills to ensure a high level of engagement with the business and external parties. 

 

Key skills and experience

 

  • Extensive experience in a broad range of property and site networks, both owned and leased
  • Similar experience in valuation techniques, financial modelling and property management
  • Proven experience in development and implementation of policies and procedures, property management systems and property reporting 
  • Experience in a large retail chain/fast food industry including retail operations, project management, property and network planning
  • Commercially minded with strong negotiation skills with a view to seeking favourable outcomes
