About the role
In this role, you will manage the execution of pay runs for the retail/franchise business and act as a subject matter expert on payroll tax, superannuation and terms and conditions of employment for designated business areas.
You will be managing end to end payroll payruns fortnightly for 6,000 thousand employees with an award using Successfactors (SAP) and Kronos.
Key responsibilities
- Perform accurate and timely execution of payrolls, managing risk and compliance
- Act as a subject matter expert on payroll data and deliver quality customer service
- Support the team in responding to escalations and proactively resolve issues to improve on current processes
- Support system configuration and testing for designated business area
- Provide advice and action the calculation of salary and allowances, leave entitlements, tax and superannuation application, employment legislation and any other terms of employment
- Provide updates and communication to key stakeholders on system issues or any other information as relevant
About you
You will have strong time management and technical knowledge of payroll and the ability to execute payroll with accuracy. The ideal candidate will be focused on problem solving and communicating effectively with the team and broader business.
Key skills and experience
- Experience running end to end payroll and working understanding of Australian payroll, statutory and legislative provisions
- Ability to interpret pay, leave and allowances clauses in enterprise agreements
- Specialist knowledge of HR / Payroll systems (specifically SAP HR/Payroll), combined with the ability to use applications in the Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint) with at least solid intermediate level (able to create and run macros) of Excel ability. Able to run ad hoc reports.
