About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to spearhead a global Human Capital Management (HCM) Transformation program across the Ampol Group. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization, driving innovative solutions, and leading a diverse, cross-functional team towards transformative success.

In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for guiding the strategic direction and execution of a multi-year HCM initiative that spans across continents and integrates cutting-edge technology with our core HR processes. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring seamless delivery, aligning stakeholders, and delivering results that elevate our global workforce capabilities. Key responsibilities:

 

  • Define and drive the strategic vision for the HCM Transformation program, ensuring alignment with Ampol objectives.
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of the HCM Transformation program, including system selection, configuration, and deployment of HCM solutions
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including HR leaders, IT leadership teams, and external HCM vendors, ensuring clear communication and alignment on system requirements and project objectives.
  • Ensure that realistic project, quality, change control and risk management processes are maintained
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget, addressing system integration challenges and ensuring the alignment of new HCM functionalities with business requirements.
  • Monitor and control resources, revenue and capital costs against the project budget and manage expectations of all project stakeholders
  • Ensure a Change Management plan is prepared, implemented, and monitored
  • Engage with Vendors to manage the end-to-end procurement process, RFI, RFP, RFT as required and negotiate various statements of work for delivery of project outcomes.
  • Manage employee performance and development, and develops team understanding of the business requirements and strategies relating to the project

 

About you:

 

The ideal candidate will bring outstanding communication and organizational skills, with the agility to navigate and prioritize competing demands while surpassing customer expectations. You'll excel in engaging stakeholders, driving transformative change, and building strong connections with both end-users and IT professionals at every level of the organization.

 

Key skills and experience:

 

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (such as Business, Project Management) or significant equivalent workplace experience.
  • Extensive experience with HRIS/HCM or ERP transformations and system implementations - implementing technology such as HCM, RTA, Payroll Solutions and Smart Recruiters
  • Proven experience in successful development of leading projects from RFP through to delivery and implementation across multiple geographies 
  • Strong experience managing multiple project streams concurrently 
  • Sound knowledge of operational and change management processes and methodologies
  • Experience in complex enterprise environments,
