About the role:

 

Reporting to the Head of Terminals, the Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and accountability for the regional terminal network. You will lead the regional terminal operations team which consist of 9 direct reports, manage all aspects of terminal related operations across 6 sites to execute excellence, safe and reliable operations.  

 

In addition, to ensure safe delivery of all products that meet our customer needs and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver fit for purpose strategies, performance, reliability and regulatory compliance.  

 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Achieve Incident and Injury free performance.
  • Manage and lead the terminal operations team.
  • Lead operational excellence and ensure safe working practices.
  • Support strategic and key infrastructure projects.
  • Compliance with Ampol and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure cost effective management of assets and expenditure.
  • Budget Preparation and performing reporting.
  • Deliver high level of service to internal and external customers
  • Key member of Terminals Leadership Team – input required for planning and strategy execution.
  • Safety Leadership displayed through Leadership in the Field activity.

 

 

About you:

 

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Regional Operations Manager or an Operational Manager seeking the next challenge and opportunity. Your strong operational capability, people leadership and high commercial acumen will help you thrive in this role.

 

You possess effective communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships and a strong focus on commitment to Operational Excellence.

 

 

Key skills and experience:

 

  • Diploma/Degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline is desirable
  • Strong Operational background
  • People leadership and ability to influence
  • Previous experience in managing a geographically diverse team
  • Petroleum industry or previous experience in a hazardous environment is desirable
  • Budget management experience
  • Project management experience
  • Strong planning and organisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to travel interstate
