About the role; 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Optimisation Analyst to join our Commercial Operations team in Retail. This is a great development opportunity for someone who is highly analytical and wants to progress their career further.  

 

Reporting to our Commercial Operations Manager in Sydney, the primary focus for this role is managing and reporting on site expenses and facilitating national reporting for stores across Australia, so we can continually improve on our cost of doing business. The role also includes analysis and recommendations on inventory, waste and site expenses. 

 

To be considered for the role you will need to be an advanced user of MS Excel, comfortable analysing data sets and making recommendations to the business. Power BI, SAP and Dare are additional systems that will be utilised in this role and experience will be highly desired.  

 

We are looking for a team player, and someone who is continuous improvement focused to get the best possible outcomes for the business.  

 

This is a permanent position based in our Alexandria, Sydney HQ, with hybrid & remote work options available. 

 

About you:  

  • Degree qualified in Commerce, Financial Accounting or related business discipline 
  • Strong Financial Analysis skills, with commercial experience of analysing spreadsheets, and building a story to provide appropriate insights and recommendations.  
  • Strong MS Office Skills, including advanced Excel capabilities, with experience in PowerBI, SAP and Dare also highly desirable 
  • High competency in accessing and using data extracts to support analysis and reporting 
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to solve both structured and unstructured problems 
  • Able to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, with the ability to explain concepts to a wide range of customers and stakeholders 
  • You will have a can-do attitude, sound project management and interpersonal skills along with the ability to initiate and successfully implement change.
