About the role

 

In this role, you will lead the delivery of the Ampol Group’s external financial reporting process. Provide technical accounting expertise to the group – both in relation to existing and new business activities and projects including impact of new Sustainability Standards.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Manage the on time and accurate delivery of Ampol’s external financial reporting
  • Draft and review of Board and Audit Committee reports and the provision of technical accounting advice
  • Implement new accounting standards and disclosure and assist in the implementation Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards
  • Develop documentation to support material accounting policy positions
  • Manage external audit process and relationship with auditors
  • Provide effective leadership mentoring and direction to the external reporting team

 

About you

 

You will have extensive experience in external financial reporting with a strong technical knowledge of accounting standards. The ideal person will have great communication with the ability to lead a team.

 

Key skills and experience:

 

  • Chartered Accountant
  • Extensive experience and strong technical accounting expertise
  • Experience managing external audit processes and relationships with auditors
  • Demonstrated people leadership either in financial reporting functions or a Big 4 consulting environment
