About the role:

 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Pricing Analyst to lead and implement Ampol’s lubricant pricing roadmap. This includes developing and driving pricing initiatives to maximise margins for the business and propose best market positioning and optimisation for our customers

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and implement short-term initiatives to establish top-tier pricing structures and analytics, partnering cross-functionally to drive strategy across the business.
  • Engage Executive and Leadership teams in Sales, Finance, and Marketing to embed the lubricants agenda into B2B pricing and long-term planning.
  • Ensure pricing strategies meet business targets and collaborate across functions to adapt to market changes.
  • Work with sales managers to create a pipeline of price strategy initiatives for each region.
  • Leverage analytics and technology to improve decision-making and uncover new opportunities through customer insights and market intelligence.
  • Elevate the lubricants agenda to senior management, promoting best-in-class pricing practices locally and globally.
  •  Build and align a good/better/best pricing strategy across DOA, tools, and methodologies.
  • Drive pricing ambitions through active stewardship and team upskilling on market influences.

 

 

About you:

 

  • The successful applicant will possess a strong commercial acumen preferably with previous background in B2B/Finance or Sales and Lubricants.
  • You have the capability of understanding the impact of each deal across the rest of the business, especially supply chain or similar.
  • As a problem solver, you will demonstrate the ability to understand key value drivers and price exposure management with the ability to provide advice and recommendation to relevant stakeholders.
  • As a strong communicator, you will build effective relationships to ensure a high level of collaboration is maintained across the business.

 

 

Key skills and experience:

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Finance, Accounting or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • Strong Commercial acumen and ability to evaluate commercial opportunities
  • Strong excel modelling capability
  • Analytical and logical thinking capacity
  • Able to work collaboratively across multiple channels
  • Team oriented
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
