About the role:

An exciting opportunity to be part of the Depot Operations team in Gladstone Depot. Reporting to the Fleet Supervisor, you will primarily be responsible for supporting the transactional administrative side of the operation and management of tanker truck fleet and driver group across a multi depot region.

 

This role is onsite Monday to Friday on dayshift and will require flexibility to work on weekends when required.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Customer service & manage customer inventory
  • Manage driver inductions, medicals and other administrative requirement
  • Provide Operational information and directions to drivers
  • Supporting the planning & coordinating fleet movements
  • Manage administrative aspects of tanker truck compliance activities
  • Act as weekend/backup/relief scheduler for the Fleet Supervisor
  • Monitor HSSE processes and practices within depot
  • Ensure that Ampol complies with all applicable laws and regulations

 

About you:

You are a team player with a positive attitude and have similar experience in general administration. You have high attention to detail and have demonstrated the ability to work in a fast pace environment. You have intermediate computer literacy skills and proficient in MS office, particularly using excel.

 

This role will also require to support other depots to fill in for leave occasionally and support on call after hour service.

 

Key skills and experience:

  • Strong customer service & administration background
  • Scheduling experience is highly desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills
  • Ability to work in a team and autonomously
  • Understand of National Heavy Vehicle Regulations and associated legislation is desirable (not essential)
