About the role:

An exciting opportunity to be part of the Ampol Petroleum Distributors team in Gladstone. Reporting to the Fleet Supervisor, you will primarily be responsible for the compliance administration supporting Central QLD Depots. This consist of ensuring our compliance requirement meet relevant legislation, fatigue standards, fleet maintenance, training compliance and relief to the Fleet Supervisor.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure fleet is operating efficiently and profitably
  • Customer service & manage customer inventory
  • Manage driver inductions, medicals and other administrative requirement
  • Provide Operational information and directions to drivers
  • Manage administrative aspects of tanker truck compliance activities
  • Monitor HSSE processes and practices of the driver group
  • Ensure that Ampol complies with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Relief to the Fleet Supervisor to plan and coordinate fleet movements

 

 

About you:

You are a team player with a positive attitude and can resolve complex issues on the go. You have high attention to detail and have demonstrated the ability to develop and engage internal and external stakeholder relationships.

 

Key skills and experience:

 

  • Understand the Central QLD region
  • Strong customer service & administration background
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills
  • Ability to work in a team and autonomously
  • Understanding of relevant fatigue management regulations
  • Dangerous goods handling experience is desirable 
  • Previous Scheduling of a trucking fleet is highly desirable
