About the role:

Reporting to the Supply Chain Tank Program Lead, The Tank Project Manager is responsible for preparing and implementing all related project plans to meet the compliance programs for assigned areas within our National Supply Chain Operations.

 

The role is also responsible for the formation and management of Tank T&I stakeholders to ensure the necessary project deliverables are meet. This includes project concept, work method selection, development of project alternative and project planning and execution.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage core teams to prepare for tank T&I’s/outages.
  • Assist with the preparation of OPEX and CAPEX budget estimates for storage tank compliance program in conjunction with the regions & Ampol owned distributor run facilities for their respective budgets.
  • Manage all activities associated with the execution of the tank repairs.
  • Monitor and report on progress v plan in terms of schedule and costs.
  • Assist with compliance for all dock/ receiving lines within marketing including development of contracts/ accreditation and a rigorous inspection program for key equipment assets.
  • Ensure all relevant records and documentation are retained and updated for MOC.
  • Provide general engineering support to the regions related to maintenance & reliability of storage tanks & pipelines/equipment.
  • Assist with development and implementation of a National maintenance/ reliability program including accreditation of contract staff.
  • Development and application of Pre Start up Safety Review process. Manage core teams to prepare for tank T&I’s/outages.

 

About you:

You are self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude and ability to work autonomously.

 

You will have proven experience in a similar role preferably in oil & gas industry and/or within a hazardous facility. You have a strong focus on safety and have the ability to demonstrate strong technical, analytical and strategic thinking skills. You have the willingness to learn and open to being trained in permit to work.

 

Key skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline
  • Strong project management experience with minimum 5 years experience
  • Experience in Tank Engineering or Project management is ideal
  • Strong financial experience in managing projects
  • Flexible to travel interstate
  • Experience in safe operation of a hazardous facility or related industry is ideal
  • API653 Tank Inspector qualification is desirable
  • Permit to work experience is ideal
  • High attention to detail and well organised
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
