About the role:
Reporting to the Program Maintenance Superintendent, we are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Coordinator to join our Major Maintenance / Program Maintenance team at the Lytton Refinery.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating the annual major maintenance campaign, which includes exchanger process cleaning, vessel recharges, process line integrity checks, statutory vessel inspection and coordination of mini outages.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of the annual Major Maintenance campaign.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, facilitating effective communication and collaboration across all stakeholders.
- Chair meetings efficiently to support planning, execution, and issue resolution throughout maintenance activities.
- Promote and uphold safety standards while driving effective problem-solving to achieve successful operational outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in processes, systems, and procedures, and contribute to change initiatives and continuous development.
About you:
You bring a positive, can-do attitude and proven experience in a similar role. You excel at problem-solving and managing complex situations, taking accountability for meeting commitments and delivering results. You are driven by continuous improvement, always seeking opportunities to optimise processes and enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Key skills and experience:
- Previous experience working within a Major Hazard Facility is desirable.
- Tertiary or trade qualifications in an engineering or mechanical discipline.
- Experience or exposure to Management of Change (MOC) processes.
- Project management skills are highly regarded.
- Strong background in mechanical maintenance.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and analytical thinking.
- Proven track record of driving and championing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in SAP or similar maintenance management systems is desirable.
- Safety-focused mindset with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organisation.
