About the role:

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager and forming part of the WA leadership team, a newly created role for an experienced Depot Manager to lead and drive optimal efficiencies in customer service/sales, depot compliance and day to day operational activities with 3-5 direct reports.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for the next challenge, who enjoys working in a fast-paced complex environment and is results orientated.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee day to day administrative duties.
  • Drive efficiencies and optimise value in depot stock holdings including fuels and lubricants in line with customer demands.
  • Ensure governance and compliance aligned to APD policies and procedures.
  • Monitor HSSE processes, practices and lead incident investigations.
  • Ensure all WA Depots and unmanned diesel stops comply with relevant industry regulatory requirements.
  • Manage annual leave coverage within the Depot Operations Coordinator team.
  • Collaborate with the sales manager to build new customer base and pipelines for growth.
  • Manage Depot Opex and Business performance.
  • Be the champion of driving and delivering continuous improvement with Depot Operations.

 

 

About you

You are a versatile, self-motivated and disciplined in your approach. Your diverse communications skills combined with your understanding of complex operational environments enable you to thrive in this position and achieve positive business excellence and outcomes.

You thrive in problem solving and having a high commitment to safety, compliance and efficient focus and understand the important of these factors in operating a quality business.

 

Key skills and experience:

 

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a small team.
  • Experience in Petroleum, Chemicals, Dangerous Goods or Hazardous industries is desirable.
  • Accountabilities for operational budgets and financial performance.
  • Deliver customer service and customer satisfaction.
  • Proven experience in depot or operational management, ideally within the petroleum, logistics, or related industries.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Logistics and/or Marketing is desirable
  • Results-driven, with a focus on achieving operational and financial goals
