About the role:
A great opportunity for a motivated individual to join the Ampol Petroleum Distribution team in Silverwater. Reporting directly to the Depot Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the daily operations of our tanker truck fleet, with a focus on compliance, driver fatigue management, and fleet maintenance. Additionally, you'll provide relief support to the Scheduler for fleet management duties.
We’re seeking a collaborative team player with a positive attitude, and ideally experienced in Fleet Management or Transport Operations, including related administrative responsibilities. Strong attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to foster and maintain solid relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage driver inductions, medicals and other administrative requirements
- Provide Operational information and directions to drivers
- Planning and Coordinating fleet movements
- Manage administrative aspects of tanker truck compliance activities
- Act as weekend/backup/relief scheduler for the Fleet Scheduler
- Monitor HSSE processes and practices within depot
- Ensure that Ampol complies with all applicable laws and regulations
- Ad hoc duties given by the Depot Manager.
Key skills and experience:
- Strong customer service & administration background
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Intermediate computer literacy skills
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
- HC licence and/or DG licence is desirable
- Understanding of State and National Heavy Vehicle Regulations and associated legislations is desirable (not essential)
