About the team
It’s an integral part of our Ampol supply chain, meeting the needs of a diverse set of customers. We distribute fuels and lubricants products from a network of Terminals and Depots across QLD, NSW and WA, operate up to 100 tanker trucks and employ over 170 dedicated employees.

About the role:
Reporting to the Fleet Manager, a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Fleet Scheduler to allocate, optimise our heavy vehicle of tanker trucks consisting of customer bulk deliveries and onsite refuelling fuel order. You will be the main point of contact of fleet movements and ensuring customer delivers across the Sydney region are met in a timely manner.
This role also requires on-call availability after hours to respond to outages, incidents or driver/truck issues.
Key responsibilities:
- Schedule all fleet movements and customer deliveries across the Sydney Region.
- Oversee the fleet operation 24/7 and be on call to respond to incidents.
- Monitor customer demand and product inventories.
- Develop and issue load plans and delivery advice.
- Commercial responsibility for fleet productivity performance.
- Schedule fleet repairs and maintenance activities.
- Ensure statutory compliance with relevant industry standards and legislation i.e fatigue management etc.
- Maintain customer relationship and interactions re customer orders.
- Champion safe working practices and ensure drivers retain all necessary training, qualifications, licences required to perform their role.
About you
You have proven minimum 3 years’ experience as a fleet scheduler within the Transport Heavy Vehicle industry. You are adaptable to working in a fast-paced environment, ability to work autonomously and a ‘can do’ attitude.
You have a high-level commitment to safety and compliance and a good understanding of relevant industry standards and legislation. You are customer focused and can foster and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationship to ensure that we achieve an optimise outcome.
Key skills and experience:
- Previous experience in heavy vehicle fleet Scheduling/Allocating is essential.
- BFM Accreditation TLIF0006 (Administer a fatigue risk management system) is essential.
- Well-developed communication (verbal and written) and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in Petroleum, Chemicals, Dangerous Goods or Hazardous industries is desirable.
- Deliver customer service and customer satisfaction.
- Practical working knowledge of heavy vehicle transport operations or logistics including relevant industry legislation and standards.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Logistics and/or Transport is desirable
