- Customer focused, ‘hands on’ operations administrative position within our Ampol Petroleum Distributors Business
About the role:
Reporting to the Fleet Manager, you will support the daily operation of the bulk fuel terminal, customer service, stock control and reconciliation, administration and compliance tasks.
You will play an important role as part of the team, working closely with drivers to deliver safe, reliable and competitive outcomes for our customers. This is a busy and varied role offering breadth and scope, with opportunities for learning and development into other roles. This role is a great stepping stone into the wider Ampol business.
Key responsibilities;
- Provide excellent customer service to all customers of the depot including responding to customer queries, generating quotes, recording sales and managing ongoing orders and deliveries
- Completion of day-to-day administrative and monitoring truck compliance duties to support the depot
- Stock reconciliation and control including stocktaking, order processing and maintaining accurate records.
- Oversee the operation of unmanned diesel stops including inspection and maintenance requirements
- Conduct customer site assessment, safety observations and inspections
- Other ad-hoc duties as required by the Fleet Manager

You are an experienced professional in a similar role who thrives working in a team environment. You display a ‘can do’ attitude, self-motivated and always willing to take on a challenge. You have a strong focus and passion in providing a high level of service to Customers. You have a high focus on safety and compliance and understand the importance of our customers.
Skills and experience:
- Strong customer service and administrative skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- High attention to detail
- Proficient in MS office
- Experience in SAP is desirable
- Understanding of safe work practices and transport/logistics
- Experience in dangerous goods/ petroleum industry is desirable however not essential
