About the role:
Reporting to the Aviation Operations Manager, this is a dynamic role where you'll play a vital part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our aviation refuelling network at Sydney Airport. You will be key role in supporting and delivering seamless, on-time, and full-service experiences to our valued customers. With a strong emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance, and service reliability, this role is ideal for professionals seeking to make a meaningful impact in a critical and fast-paced sector of Australia’s energy infrastructure.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily aviation refuelling operations, including flight scheduling, refueller assignments, and stock reconciliation to ensure seamless service delivery
- Support leadership and operational teams by overseeing day-to-day activities, monitoring maintenance schedules, and managing workforce rosters
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying operational gaps, proposing enhancements, and contributing to investigations and audits
- Ensure regulatory and safety compliance, including contractor management, incident response participation, and monitoring of compliance systems (e.g., EBITS)
- Assist in training and development initiatives, including completing Level 3 training and supporting operator competency
- Handle administrative and logistical tasks, such as raising LPOs, updating systems, and maintaining accurate records
- Adapt to evolving operational needs, performing refuelling duties when required and taking on additional responsibilities as they arise
About you:
You will bring extensive operational experience within the Aviation industry or a closely related field. Outstanding communication skills, combined with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and manage relationships, are essential for success in this role.
A solid mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with vehicles, coupled with a strong commitment to safety, are critical requirements.
This position also demands flexibility, including availability for on-call duties and occasional weekend work.
Key skills and experience:
- Proven experience in Aviation Operations / Scheduling experience is ideal
- Sound knowledge in Operations of vehicle and maintenance requirements
- Excellent People & Communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure
- Proficient level of computer literacy in MS Office
- Current HR licence
- Understanding of JIG (Joint Inspection Group) is a desirable
